eBay.com A Trail of Angry Customers all over the Web
Dear Fellow Victims,
It is easy to compile a pages of pain and frustration with this company by searching Google on "eBay sucks". If you want just a taste, read the highlights below. Both buyers and sellers get caught by
endless emails
fraud
take no responsibility -- it is always the customer's fault
arbitrary actions, no explanations
no humans in the Customer Service Department
I am discouraged. I think all of us in this new group of fraud
victims have to kiss our money goodbye. If you have any
encouragement, I need to hear it.

REPORTS from the WEB
& I quote
SYMPATHETIC LINE BUT NO HELP
After getting scammed by a seller I used EBAYS "system" for resolution.
Including speaking to Live Help. All their people must be coached the
same way, "Oh I can understand your frustration..." I heard this same
line from 5 different customer reps. They in the end leave it up to YOU
to get restitution. I became a banshee and contacted Police the Bank
and anyone else involved and we are now aggressively going after the
perp. My suggestion. Do not deal with PayPal or EBAY. Boycott them just
like you do Gas Stations that overcharge or any retail business that
takes its customers for granted. I for one will tell 200 people of my
poor experience with this company. Posted 2006-05-05 20:47:45 by josegalt on http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/wlg/7079
IF YOU'VE EVER SOLD STUFF, YOU KNOW THE DRILL

EBAY MOTORS - BIG TICKET DANGER
Visit www.boycottebaymotors.com
and see how ebay's policies don't protect users. They are a breeding
ground for fraud. Below is my wife's story of a vehicle purchase
GONE BAD on eBayMotors.com. Don't let eBay's poorly drafted
vehicle purchase protection plan and dishonest sellers make you the
next victim. http://www.boycottebaymotors.com/
EBAY WEASELS OUT
Please note that I no longer trade on ebay because I am absolutely sick
and tired of the way that they always find a way of avoiding
responsibility when it comes to fraud, false buyers, malicious
feedback,libel, fee refunds,scams, you name it - they'll have a clause
to avoid it. ... As for apologies - forget it - you'll just get a
lecture on how to avoid it happening again - EVEN THOUGH IT'S THEIR
FAULT!!!

IF YOU GET HURT, IT'S NOT THEIR RULES, IT'S YOUR FAULT
I sent 1000 dollars through ebay using western union wire transfer. I
was told in an email that the transaction was insured, however when I
never received the product and the seller refused to contact me I was
told there is nothing I can do except call the police, he lived in
Romania so I don't think theres any chance in getting my money back.
They made it out I was the one in the wrong. Not the fraudster, MUTOIU

RIGGED SYSTEM
After 6 years and over 50k worth of transaction as a buyer I can say
without a shred of doubt that Ebay is the Evil Empire. Their scheme is
cleverly formulated to maximize their profit at the expense of the
buyers and sellers. When problems arise Ebay assumes no responsibility:
Pitting the sellers vs. buyers and vice versa. Their feedback system is
critically flawed to intimidate buyers from telling the truth. Do not
enrich Ebay at your own expense. When everything is all tallied up you
saved nothing in expense or money

LAWSUITS - 2003 THE FRAUD IS $1,000,000 -- SQUARE TRADE COVERS $800
On May 16th 2003, eBay suspended the account of "Liquidationuniverse,"
a reseller of Toshiba Laptops. Liquidation Universe was a participant
in Square Trade's Seal Program. Every buyer that purchased from
Liquidation Universe saw the Square Trade logo on the auction,
promising them up to $800 in fraud protection, in addition to eBay's
fraud protection of $200.
However, unlike eBay's fraud protection, the amount of Square Trade
protection was the company's total liability. Liquidation Universe
customers going through the process of filing for Square Trade's fraud
protection would have to share the $800 in coverage. There are an
estimated 1,000 - 6,000 victims in this case.

LAWSUITS - EBAY SETTLES OUT OF COURT FOR $250,000
The lawsuit accused eBay of acknowledging the existence of billing
glitches and then later denying that customers were hurt at all. http://ebaysettles.notlong.com
